Pam Voth

With a fashion illustrator mother working from home, a creative life was an easy choice for Pam. She earned her BFA in Communication Arts and Design from VCU and went on to a career as a New York art director, while continuing her illustration, painting and photography. In the 1980s, she spent a month in the Southwest with her Hasselblad, learning black-and-white photography and darkroom printing. She still misses the “ka-CHUNG-snap” of its shutter. Today, her iPhone goes everywhere with her, capturing whatever catches her eye, and adding to an ever-growing personal library of images. She continues her work in design with Voth Barral Design, which she founded with her husband in 2004.
