Jennifer Chaffee

I have been drawing and painting since my childhood. I find still life paintings to be my absolute favorite to paint. I’m captivated by the challenge of getting the light just right—how it illuminates, wraps around, and glows through things that aren’t completely transparent, like leaves, an onion’s skin, or a slice of fruit.

I’m always drawn to painting the beautiful landscapes of Connecticut. Whether it’s the shoreline, a serene lake or river, expansive fields, or a winding path through the woods, nature has always been a source of inspiration for me.
