Deborah Mott

Deborah studied fine art and illustration at The Art Students League and Parsons School of Design in New York, but her strongest early inspirations came on childhood camping trips, wandering the woods, sketchbook in hand, and borrowing her father’s Leica camera. A career in graphic design and copywriting followed, with her work as creative director recognized by Communicator, Webby and Telly awards. Today, Deborah balances design work with a creative practice that includes painting, photography, and poetry. She’s drawn to themes that depict or inspire introspection and likes to involve the viewer, challenging them to imagine the story behind the image.
